Panay Tourism: Panay Church Bell

 The magnificent bell on top of the Sta. Monica Church in the Municipality of Panay is considered as the largest bell in Asia is one of the major tourist attractions ot the town of Panay. The bell itself had a significant valur to the people and the town of Panay, because it is consedered as the symbol of god voice in the whole town as it sound reach a few kilometers away from the center of the town.

Panay Tourism: An Overview

The Municipality of Panay was delightedly rich in many beautiful sceneries and to introduce some of them, it follows:

 1. Sta. Monica Church - the centuries old church of Panay is the town’s historical landmark. It serves as the proof of christian faith from the time it was controlled by the Spanish. The beautifully structured church is made of limestones and it was designed in baroque inspired style. It was declared as a Historical Landmark by the National Historical Institiute.

2. Panay Church Bell - the magnificent bell at the belfry of the Sta. Monica Church is the biggest bell in Asia with the height of 7 feet and base diameter of 5 feet. It weighs 10.4 tons. Seventy sacks of coins  were used to create these gigantic structure.

3. Pawa-Buntod Beach - the 3 kilometers shoreline of Pawa-Buntod teritorry in the Municipality of Panay, attracts visitors because of its fine black sand.

 4. Napti Island - island near Olotayan Island at the Province of Capiz. It is known for its white unspoiled shores. It has coral reefs that good for scuba diving and it also featured some magnificent caves.
